WGC'S former Premiership star Junior Lewis was given a straight red card last night (Thursday) as the Citizens were beaten 2-1 at home by Cockfosters.

The ex-Leicester City midfielder was given his marching orders with 10 minutes to go after being adjudged to have kicked-out at an opponent.

Lewis had been attempting to take a quick free-kick when a Fosters player tried to pick up the ball, the pair clashed and the City man was dismissed.

Moments earlier the hosts had been denied what appeared a legitimate goal as the visiting keeper punched a corner into his own net.

The referee was quick to blow his whistle and gave a free-kick to the visitors for a foul on the custodian.

It was clear the former Hull City midfield man was still frustrated with the decision as he was soon after given his marching orders.
