IT was a day of ‘firsts’ at Gosling ski slope recently.
The first ever ERSA Schools artificial dry ski slope race took place at the Gosling Sports Park, WGC.
Pope Paul Catholic Primary School in Potters Bar entered their first ever ski team. Daniel Heymoz, Stephanie Tanner, Kate Andrew and Louise Heymoz took first place in the U10 mixed team event.
Pope Paul is focussing on the Olympic values in the run up to July 2012. Inspiration is one of these values and the team were certainly inspired by the success of Robert Poth from Mount Grace School, who is the U16 British ski champion.
