The run started with the Potters Bar prep school’s U13 football team who made the Investec ISFA Cup final.

And that was followed up by the U13 basketball side who took the IAPS National Championship title.

That saw them battle through a group stage, losing just one game against Millfield, before victory over King’s College Madrid in the semi-final set a change of revenge against the Buntingford school, one they took with relish.

The footballers, who beat Bolton School 5-3, will now travel to Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium on March 15 where they will meet either Whitgift or Royal Russell.

Headmaster Ben Walker said: “It is a remarkable achievement for our school to make it to national finals in two sports in the same week.

“I am sure that the footballers hope to match the basketball players with a victory and another title.”
