David Kempton produced two stunning drives to clinch two third places at Brands Hatch.

With sponsors AAWoods, Orton Lifts and Escalators and Chapman Ventilation all in attendance, they were the perfect results for Kempton and his DK Power team after a number of non-finishes.

He said: “We were up against some good competition. Various makes of cars such as TVR’s, Porsches, Escort Cosworths and a selection of BMW’s made up the grid.

“As the sponsors were around the pit garages, they got a great insight into the day and how we worked on the car with the set up.”

Qualifying gave a clue as to what was to follow as Kempton put the car into third and fifth place for the two races.

And through searing heat, he held his position through race one to make the podium.

He got straight up to second in race two before dropping to third, the position he held until the flag.

The team’s next race is at Donnington in September.
