WELWYN Garden City Reserves and A team are holding open trials for all players this Saturday.

New reserve team boss Kevin Beirne is eager to attract as much local talent as possible as he attempts to bring some stability and structure to Herns Lane.

The close season has seen a management change for the second string, with Beirne taking over from Sunny Pal, who is going to concentrate on playing.

Beirne has also managed to get supermarket NISA on board who are sponsoring the two sides.

He said: "I will have some good players joining up with the reserves and the A side, and they will provide a good link with the first team."

The reserves will play in the Premier Division of the North and Mid Herts League, with the A team in Division One.

The trials will start at 10am at Herns Lane, WGC, on Saturday, with players urged to get to Herns Lane 15 minutes before kick-off.

For more information please contact Kevin Beirne on 07500 974301 or Sunil Pal 07904 504202.
