BILLY Joe Saunders’s British title shot is set to be the penultimate fight of an action-packed boxing card at London’s ExCel Arena tomorrow (Saturday) night.

The 23-year-old from Hatfield is scheduled to square off against Nick Blackwell at around 9.40pm, with that and the whole card live on on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546).

Saunders goes into the bout with 15 straight wins since turning professional with Frank Warren, 10 by way of knockout. Blackwell has lost just one of his 13 contests.

Top of the bill and last on is George Groves v Glen Johnson for the Commonwealth Super-Middleweight Championship, scheduled for 10.45pm.

Also featuring on the show in the captial is former Welwyn Garden City amateur boxer Mitchell Smith as he takes on Igor Chuev in a 6x3 minute Internations Super Featherweight contest.

Doors open at the ExCel at 5pm.
