The Ultimate Football Welwyn Garden City Monday night 6 a-side league is into its summer season.

Potters Bar Town kept their unbeaten start in the Bostik Premier Division going with a hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to Whitehawk.

A goal, an assist and the man of the match award was just a bonus for Welwyn Garden City’s Adam Hunt – the three points from their 2-1 win over Didcot Town were far more important.

Adam Fisher was delighted to finally get Welwyn Garden City’s season under way – and the manner of performance as well as the result simply added to the emotion.

If this is what life is going to be like in the Southern League then Herns Lane may be the place to go this season.
