Woman taken to hospital following A1(M) crash in Hatfield

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash that closed two lanes on the A1(M) in Hatfield.

Police received a call at 12.41pm following reports that a red Volkswagon Polo had crashed into the pillar on the A1(M) by Junction 3, just after the Hatfield Tunnel.

The female driver was taken to hospital after the fire service cut her out of her car.

Two lanes were closed but were reopened by 2.45pm.
