A woman has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after she fell in Hatfield and suffered a head injury.

The ambulance service was called at 10.44am to a report that a woman had collapsed in Queensway.

An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and a Magpas Air Ambulance attended.

On arrival paramedics treated a woman believed to be in her 70s who had suffered a head injury after a fall.

She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, in a serious condition.
