All you have to do is register to take part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, raise more than £250 at the event and pay your money in by October 28 to be entered into the prize draw.

To register to be part of the Welwyn-based charity’s flagship event, call 0845 602 1246 and you will receive a free fundraising pack with everything you need to hold your own coffee morning.

Kerry Briars, fundraising manager for Hertfordshire, said: “It is so easy to hold your own coffee morning, you can hold it at home with friends and family, hold one at work with colleagues and ask everyone to bring in home made cakes or organise one in your local community centre and invite everyone you know.

“As local fundraisers we will be there every step of the way to make sure you have everything you need for your event and to help you make it a huge success and hopefully win that amazing lunch.

“I would also like to say a huge thank you to The Grove for donating such a wonderful prize.”

Last year more than 1,000 people held their own coffee morning and collectively raised around £170,000.

This year, the charity’s centenary, it is looking to make an even bigger total.
