THE £40,000 target needed to send a three-year-old girl with cerebral palsy to the USA for a life-changing operation has been reached.
Jenifer Clare and her family will jet off to Missouri next week.
She will undergoe Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) treatment at America’s specialist St Louis Children’s Hospital.
As reported in the Welwyn Hatfield Times last year, it is hoped the operation will enable Jenifer to walk for the first time.
A concert to help the family on their return has been organised at the Green Room, at The Doctors Tonic, on Church Road, WGC, this Saturday.
Starting at 8pm, cover band Resonance will play a series of hits, while there will be a raffle at the interval to raise further funds.
Tickets are £6 on the door.
