The deal will see Unicut Precision, of Tewin Court, manufacture a total of 5,000 assemblies a year for use in the construction of military hardware.

Components will be made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminium, brass and plastic.

The contract will initially run for 24 months, but the company has been given an option to extend it should the partnership prove a success.

Co-director Jason Nicholson said: “This contract is very important to us as it extends our precision machining capability and the responsibility of adding part supply with assembly.

“This puts us firmly in control of the whole project allowing us to maximise our flexibility in machining operations to meet the production requirements.”
