Children flocked to school today as Harry Potter, Willy Wonka, a Dementor, princesses and Peter Rabbit even made an appearance.

Some mums claimed they were up to the early hours of this morning finishing off costumes.

World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators and most importantly, of reading.
