Welwyn Hatfield is set to suffer glacial temperatures for at least the next two days, forecasters have said.

The Met Office has warned residents to brace themselves for more intermittent snow as temperatures hover between -4° and -2° for the rest of the day (Thursday), before climbing to a lofty -1° tomorrow.

There should be temporary respite from the snow on Friday, but it is set to briefly return on Saturday morning – at which point temperatures will be around 1°.

The outlook for Sunday and Monday is slightly less depressing as more bearable weather rolls in (cloudy and 5° to 6°).
