A Welwyn Garden City mum is overwhelmed after 24 businesses made her ill son’s birthday one he’ll never forget.
Elliot Harridge, of Welwyn Garden City, celebrated his third birthday on Saturday, September 29, while surrounded by friends, family, police officers and the Welwyn Garden City fire brigade.
The youngster suffers from a rare chromosome disorder which has meant that he has spent most of his life in hospital.
Businesses, including Cadbury World, Paradise Wildlife Park, Tesco, Hobbycraft, Youth Create Does Parties, King of the Castles, Mr Flossy, Sapp-hire Lights, Walking Animal Fun, Gosling, Shepreth Wildlife Park, Mid Herts Golf Club, 360 Play, Lost World Golf, The Fisherman’s Pub, Marsh Farm, Standalone Farm, Gel Me Pretty, Emmazingedibles, Sara’s Sweet Treats and Party Cones, Baking Dawn and Susie’s Orinals helped to make the party even more special by donating goods and services.
His mum Vikki Mason said: “This boy deserves it all.
“The party has meant more than I can put into words, and ever begin to tell you.”
The day raised £1,000 which is being spilt between the cost for a wheelchair for Elliot, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Lister Hospital’s children’s ward.
