A Welwyn Garden City charity is urging residents to take on its Bridges of London fundraiser.

Isabel Hospice, which provides support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, is once again holding the event on September 23.

It involves taking in the capital’s best sights during a nine-mile walk over 12 bridges, and last year people raised more than £40k.

Natasha Hind, event manager for Isabel Hospice, said: “This is a really fun day out with time to stop for lunch and take lots of photos of the beautiful city.

“The Bridges of London goes past some of the greatest London landmarks including the Tower of London, The Shard, HMS Belfast, the Palace of Westminster and the London Eye.”

It costs just £8 to sign up if you make your own way to London and meet the team at Tower Hill coach park.

Alternatively it is £20 per adult and £10 per child if you chose to travel by coach.
