Welwyn dance group to hold fundraiser for 15-year-old member’s charity trip

A Welwyn-based dance group is set to hold a fundraiser for one of its members to volunteer in Cambodia.

Kollection, which was set up by Hatfield barmaid Jade Thomas, will throw a dancing event involving groups from around Hertfordshire.

It is in aid of 15-year-old member Liberty Newbury, who as part of a school venture is hoping to volunteer in the Southeast Asian country.

Speaking ahead of the event on Saturday, April 28, Jade said: “It will involve a range of different ages from as young as five years old to 50 years old.

“We have so many different styles of dance – contemporary, hip-hop, line dancing – it’s not all just one age or one style.”

The 22-year-old added: “It’s all just coming together as one.

“It’s a chance for us all to get together and have a good time and it’s all for a good cause.”
