The crooks launched their raid on the Holy Family Roman Catholic JMI School, in Crookhams, between 6pm on February 10 and 1.55pm on February 12.

They forced their way into the building by smashing a window at the back of the school.

They stole nine Toshiba laptops, minus the plug-in leads, before fleeing the scene.

The laptops had only been in the school for a week before they were stolen by the “mindless” raiders.

Pc Chris Brown is investigating and said: “The school have only had these laptops for one week.

“The fact that mindless thieves have taken them not only comes at a cost to the school but also to the children.

“The thieves took the laptops but left the chargers behind. I would ask anyone who has any information about what happened to contact police, particularly if you have been offered a laptop for sale in suspicious circumstances without a charger.”

Anyone with information should call Pc Brown via the Herts police via non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B1/12/426.
