Gill Knights reported the sighting on Saturday, at 9.30pm, to www.uk-ufo.co.uk

She told the website that several people witnessed the “ball of fire”.

“I was seeing a friend out to her car when I noticed a very bright red light shining behind the branches of a tree. I was so intrigued, I ran out further and saw an orange/red sphere shape travelling across the sky. It looked like a ball of fire. We tried to get pictures but we couldn’t locate the object on the viewfinder.

“I ran in to the house and up to my son’s bedroom, where he was with five of his friends. They all witnessed it too. We watched it a little longer and it changed into a white glow.

“When my friend arrived home, her daughter announced that she had seen a UFO.

“My friend hadn’t told her daughter that we had seen one in case she thought we’d gone mad.”

  • Me and my partner have seen this object in the sky over kings lynn ! (9.45pm, 22 may 2010)

Ball of fire at very high altitude, we watch it for 5 minutes, it apeared that the fire went out leaving a black object speeding across the sky.

In my opinion it seem to be no UFO ! but just a small asteriod burning up on re-entry or maybe an old satelite. But what ever it was, did bot burn up completely and would have been seen for hundreds of miles at the altitude it was at

  • I wonder why these shy and secretive visitors advertise their visits to obviously with low altitude passes and bright lights ? If I was going to study another life form I'd use camouflage to blend in, just the same way wild life photographers (or indeed the army) do... But that wouldn't be news worthy would it ? "Sensation as UFO not seen by anyone.... ".
