The Hatfield-based uni has confirmed to the Office for Fair Access (OFFA) it intends to set a fee of between £6,000 to £8,500 for its undergraduates programme in 2012/13.

The proposals, which have been approved by the University’s Board of Governors, are still subject to formal approval by OFFA.

A spokeswoman for the uni said today (Wednesday) that the average fee would be around £7,500.

“In determining its fee proposals for 2012, the University has been guided by its absolute commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience and its belief in the need to be fair and reasonable during a time of considerable economic uncertainty and significant change to the funding of Higher Education,” the spokeswoman said.

“As the UK’s leading business-facing University and with a strong position in the UK University league tables, the university believes that its fee proposals will ensure financial sustainability, whilst offering exceptional value for its students.”
