Two children were hurt in a crash in Hatfield


Two children were taken to hospital with head injuries following a crash in Hatfield yesterday evening.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called at 7.11pm yesterday (February 8) to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Bishops Rise, Hatfield, at the roundabout junction with Cavendish Way.

“The two vehicles involved were a Mercedes A Class and a Honda Civic.

“A road closure was implemented between Bishops Rise and Lark Rise to enable the emergency services to deal with the incident.

“Both vehicles were recovered and the road re-opened by 9.41pm.”

An ambulance spokesman said: “We received a call yesterday at 7.15pm.

“A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew were sent to assist and treated two children for head injuries before taking them both to Lister Hospital for further care.”
