Man arrested after two-car crash in Hatfield

A man has been arrested after a crash in Hatfield yesterday.

The 27-year-old man, from Newry, has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, criminal damage and a public order offence after a collision in Hatfield.

Police were called to St Albans Road East at 4pm after a grey Volkswagen Passat and a grey Seat Alhambra were involved in an accident.

Both the fire and ambulance services attended.

Firefighters rescued a man trapped by neck and back pain and handed him over to the ambulance service, which provided trauma care.

Two people were taken to hospital.
