Teenage motorist injured in Woolmer Green crash outside school

Emergency services were called to Woolmer Green after a teenager was injured in a crash this afternoon.

Police and the ambulance service were called to reports of a collision involving a moped and a car in London Road at 3.09pm.

The crash happened near St Michael’s Woolmer Green Primary School, where the road was temporarily blocked.

An ambulance service spokesman said paramedics treated a teenager who had suffered hand and leg injuries, before he was taken to Lister Hospital for further treatment.
