Teen arrested after carrying hunting knife in Welwyn Garden City

A 16-year-old boy has been charged after he was caught carrying a knife in Welwyn Garden City.

Police were called at 7.07pm on Wednesday, August 15, to reports of several males attempting to climb into an industrial area in Ravenfield Road.

A spokeswoman for the police said: “Officers attended and located five males who were then searched.

“One of the males made off from officers and was detained shortly after.”

• A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and possession of a knife.

He was been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
