Suspected arson at Welwyn Garden City flat

A FIRE which broke out at a block of flats last night (Sunday) was started deliberately, police believe.
Firefighters were called to Chambers Grove, WGC, at 11.37pm after reports of a smoke seen coming from the entrance to a ground floor flat.
The small fire was quickly extinguished by crews from WGC and Hatfield, and nobody was injured.
Police today (Monday) confirmed they were treating the fire as suspected arson with intent to endanger life, and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
