Police are today warning motorists against buying cheap specialist car parts following a theft in Potters Bar.

An engine, gearbox and wiring loom from a Vauxhall Nova, two car batteries, four Speedline Alesso alloy wheels and a toolbox were stolen from a property in Baker Street, between January 7 and February 4.

Sergeant Noel Buckley, from the Potters Bar and Shenley Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Please contact us if you have been approached by anyone offering you specialist car components like these as they could have been stolen.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101, quoting J3/17/233.
