Free skating rink event in Hatfield next week

An outdoor skating rink is coming to Hatfield town centre for the day.

This year’s Skatefest is taking place from 11am to 4pm, on Tuesday, August 14, in Market Place,

There will be a whole host of free activities including an outdoor roller rink, skate and scooter activities, followed by tuition in the skate park next to Link Drive.

The council will also have a stall there about it’s Big Summer, where residents can find out more about the activities taking place across the borough until August 19.

Councillor Bernard Sarson said: “SkateFest is another fantastic activity in our busy events calendar for Welwyn Hatfield’s Big Summer.

“So whether you’re a skating pro or a beginner, get your skates on and come to Hatfield town centre.”

The council deem SkateFest suitable for children aged five years and above.
