The Howard Centre has revealed the free events it will be hosting for this year’s Christmas lights switch-on.

On Thursday, November 16, Rusty the Reindeer will be making a special visit at The Howard Centre as the shopping outlet joins in with the town’s popular Christmas Lights Switch-On event.

Shoppers are invited to make magical reindeer food and Christmas themed arts and crafts between 11am and 5pm.

Rusty, who is not a real reindeer, will also be available for photograph opportunities as he makes regular appearances between 2pm and 5pm.

Customers are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Centre manager Paul Haynes said: “We think it is important to put on great free events and support the town centre’s Christmas launch event.

“We’re sure the workshop and Rusty will be popular with our shoppers young and old and will certainly bring some festive cheer to the Howard Centre.”
