The cats find themselves at Southridge as their owner sadly passed away.

The trio are looking for a special, loving home together.

Marmalade is an 11-year-old ginger domestic shorthair.

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA centre in Packhorse Lane, Ridge, said: “He is the most confident of the three.

“He enjoys attention and loves a fuss.”

Smokey is a six-year-old black domestic shorthair.

The Southridge spokeswoman said: ”He is slightly more nervous but given time and patience he will come out of his shell.”

Pepper is a 10-year-old tortoiseshell domestic shorthair.

“Once Pepper knows you she is a very sweet girl and enjoys a fuss, but will let you know when she has had enough,” said the RSPCA spokeswoman.

“We are looking for a quiet, sensible home for these three as they are used to a quiet life.

“We feel they would be best being the only pets in the home so they can get all the attention for themselves.”

They will need access to the outside so they can explore and sunbathe at their leisure, away from any busy roads.

“We would really like to find a home for them altogether as it would be heartbreaking to have to split them up as they really enjoy each other’s company,” said the RSPCA spokeswoman.

“If you think you could offer these lovely three cats a loving forever home please get in touch.”

• If you are interested in adopting the cats visit the centre in Packhorse Lane, Ridge, Potters Bar, call 0300 123 0704 or email

The centre is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 4.15pm.

It is also open on Sundays from 1pm to 4.15pm.
