You might need to curtsey next time you’re popping down to the shops in Potters Bar.

The Marie Curie charity shop on Darkes Lane has gone all out for Meghan and Harry’s big day, with a wedding-themed window display featuring the whole royal family.

The shop mannequins are decked out as a whole bevy of Windsors and Windsors-to-be - including Meghan, Harry, and Her Majesty herself.

Manager Susan Stark explained that the Marie Curie bosses had asked their shops to get on board with the royal wedding theme.

“So I thought, right, I’m going for it!

“I always try to recognise big events to get the community talking.”

Susan got creative, ordering royal family masks, flags and paraphernalia.

However, the plan only came together with the help of Potters Bar retiree Sylvia Hind.

Sylvia, 79, said: “I saw it when it wasn’t quite finished and Susan said she couldn’t find an American flag,” she said.

But Sylvia had an upcoming visit from a family member, who flew the stars and stripes in all the way from the USA, and she’s very pleased with the result.

“It’s the best window we’ve seen, it’s absolutely fabulous,” she said.

“I’m really chuffed with the way it came out,” said Susan.
