A lorry and a Mercedes were involved in a crash this morning, which also resulted in a telephone mast being hit.

A Herts Police spokesman said: “We were called at 3.22am this morning about a road traffic collision to the Ridgeway in Cuffley involving a lorry and a car.

“The car was a Mercedes.

“A telephone mast was also hit and was leaning over the ground so the fire service was called.

“The mast was repaired by BT engineers.”
