Pupils from Annabel’s Montessori School in Lemsford took part in the annual fundraising event, which backs Jeans for Genes – a charity that aims to change the world for children with genetic disorders.

Manju Johal is headteacher at the Brocket Road school, which caters for children aged two-and-a-half to five.

She said the event on Friday October 6 went brilliantly for the youngsters.

“In total we raised £33 from all the children paying £1 to wear their jeans, and all the children loved it, they were really excited,” she said.

“During the day the children and their teachers helped decorate an extra special pair of jeans [pictured] and we are hoping to auction these off to raise some more money for the charity.”

To take part in the auction and help bolster funds call the school on 01707 393027.
