A BEAUTY from Potters Bar is hoping to win a prestigious national pageant.

Kaylee Muldoon, 23, has just been crowned Miss Spirit of True Beauty Hertfordshire 2012 and hopes to add the national title to her county success.

Blackbury Close resident Kaylee told the Potters Bar Edition of her joy.

“I was really, really over the moon,” she said.

“I was really happy – every girl wants to be a princess for the day it doesn’t matter how old you are.”

Kaylee thanked her sponsor for the event, Irish folk band The Wolftones.

The nationwide comp will take place in Bedworth, Birmingham, in May, and Kaylee will be competing against around 30 other girls.

A spokesman for organiser Valentine Events said: “Girls of all shapes and sizes are welcome and encouraged to enter Miss Spirit of True Beauty 2012.

“We can promise you a glamorous event, and with fantastic prizes on offer we are confident you will enjoy this unique UK competition.”
