A seven-year-old’s drawing promoting healthy eating is set to be seen by hundreds of Potters Bar shoppers after he won Tesco’s ‘design a reusable bag’ competition.

Children throughout the Potters Bar area were invited to enter the competition and draw a picture promoting healthy eating.

Tymoteusz Konieczny, 7, known to his friends as ‘Timmy’, will have his design printed on reusable bags for the Mutton Lane store.

He also scooped a £500 donation for his school, Northaw CoE Primary School, as well as a £25 gift card for himself.

Store manager Paul Knight said: “We got a great response to the competition from primary schools across the area and we would like to thank them all for entering.

“The store team really loved Timmy’s drawing and we think the bags look fantastic and are being very well-received by our customers.”
