UK Power Networks has apologised to customers who are affected by a power cut in Potters Bar.

The problem is affecting people in the Elmroyd Avenue/Baker Street area of town.

The electricity supplier states online: “There is currently a power cut in this area.

“Our engineers are working hard to fix it as quickly as possible.

“We are sorry for any trouble this may have caused you.”

UK Power Networks says the power cut is due to “a fault on a piece of our electrical equipment which controls the power to your home”.

The power cut was reported just after 10.30am.
