The pre-school children at Head Start Day nursery in Potters Bar spent last week making poppies and a wreath for Remembrance Day.

On Friday, November 10, the staff and children visited St John’s Churchyard Memorial where they laid their poppies, paid their respects and discussed why we have Remembrance Day.

A spokeswoman for the nursery said: “I was thrilled to hear that passers-by showed their gratitude towards the children paying their respects and learning about Remembrance Day.”
