A Potters Bar care home held a car wash to raise money for a day centre that supports carers.
Cuffley Manor Care Home raised £180 for the Cuffley Day Care Centre, which is independently run by carers.
Viktorija, community development manager of the care home, said: “It was lovely to see such a fantastic turnout for a good cause and as a team we all had so much fun too.
“Thanks to all who donated the money.”
Charlie Barrie, who with four others set up the day centre, said: “I know I speak on behalf of the Cuffley Day Care Centre in thanking the care home for its efforts, it is much appreciated.”
Mr Barrie and others fought to keep the centre open last year after national disability charity Leonard Cheshire (LCD) pulled out from its contract for the services.
The group started its own charity and now runs the centre with the help of donations and funding.
