Three police vehicles attended the scene in Welwyn Garden City following concerns for a woman.

Police were called to Stanborough Green at 10.31pm yesterday (Sunday, January 14), to reports of concern for the welfare of a 20-year-old woman.

The police and ambulance service attended and she was taken to hospital.

An eyewitness said: “I could see police outside and wondered what was happening.

“There was also some banging as if they were breaking a door down.”
