A Welwyn Garden City man has been found dead by the police.

Police were called to Digswell Road at 12.04pm yesterday (Sunday, January 7) to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man.

A police spokeswoman said: “Sadly a man aged in his 40s from Welwyn Garden City was pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

“Following the incident, the area and road was temporarily closed.

“The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
