Woman hurt in Woolmer Green crash

A woman was taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Woolmer Green this afternoon.

Police were called to the scene outside the Chequers Inn in London Road at 1.27pm.

A police spokeswoman said the two vehicles involved were a white Volkswagen Polo and a silver Ford Focus.

An ambulance crew attended the scene and a woman was taken to hospital with slight injuries, the spokeswoman confirmed.

Both vehicles had to be recovered and police had dealt with the crash by 4.15pm.
