Police called to 20 youths smoking in The Howard Centre

Police officers are set to collect CCTV footage from The Howard Centre after 20 youths were seen drinking and smoking inside.

A police spokeswoman said the antisocial behaviour took place for around 20 minutes at 8pm on Friday, March 9.

She said officers will look into identifying those involved as part of a crackdown on ASB in WGC, following which the footage will be shown to their parents.

It comes after a deal was struck between Herts Police and The Howard Centre, which would involve the shopping venue issuing banning orders to troublesome youngsters.

They also signed an information sharing agreement so that those engaged in ASB and criminal activity can be monitored.

Anyone with information on the ASB has been asked to contact police via non-emergency number 101.
