Hertfordshire Police officers are appealing for witnesses


Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves struck within a 15-minute window, stealing a bike in Welwyn Garden City.

The theft of a Giant silver mountain bike occurred outside Sainsbury’s in Church Road between 5.40pm and 5.55pm yesterday, January 31.

The bike had been left locked and secured with a chain, which was cut.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing, however if anyone witnessed the crime they are asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number, 101, quoting crime reference B1/17/388.”
