This week’s winner of Pet of the Week is an adorable nine-month-old miniature dachshund from Hatfield who unlike most dogs, actually likes the postman.

Piper lives in the Ellenbrook area with her owner Samantha Dukelow where she enjoys her favourite walk down Alban Way and meeting other local dogs.

Samantha said: “She is a very energetic and loving puppy, who is friendly to everyone that she meets, even the postmen love to say hello to her and give her a fuss.”

Piper attends Bishops Veterinary Surgery in Parkhouse Court.

Samantha added: “They are absolutely brilliant. Piper enjoys actually going to the vets.”

The pooch even has Instagram so people can follow her journeys: @piperminidachshund
