Plans to continue allowing Brookmans Park students to park near their college have been submitted to Welwyn Hatfield Council.

Students attending the College for Animal Welfare at Boltons Park Farm have been parking on land opposite off Hawkshead Road, and the landowner has sought permission to continue allowing them to do so.

It comes after the Royal Veterinary College, which owns the farm, submitted a Master Plan for projects spanning the next 10 years.

As part of the scheme, parking improvements need to be made to Boltons Park Farm, and the RVC requested the continued help of the landowner while the upgrades are being completed.

The college said in a letter: “Given such circumstances we would greatly appreciate you continuing to submit parking on your field opposite during term time as we currently enjoy.”

The proposals are currently under consultation.
