Visitors and businesses in Hatfield can have a flipping good time taking part in a Pancake Day contest.

The event will be held in Hatfield town centre on Shrove Tuesday (February 13). Two different pancake competitions are taking place under the arcade in White Lion Square from 12.30pm to 1pm.

After last year’s successful event, the competition is being extended to include members of the public as well as businesses. A pancake race is being held for children and adults. Participants will be put into pairs and the duo with the fastest total time will be the winners.

For town centre businesses, there will be a ‘flipathon’ competition. The winner will be the person who can flip their pancake the most amount of times in a minute. The winners of each competition will receive a £20 voucher.

To register email info@hatfieldtown.co.uk before Friday, February 9.
