A FLIPPING great time was had by all those who turned up to the annual Welwyn pancake race yesterday (Tuesday).
Shrove Tuesday was celebrated in style by around 200 villagers who gathered in Codicote Road for the event, which was participated by the local police force, vicars from St Mary’s church, as well pupils and teachers from St Mary’s primary school.
Several relay races were held for the youngsters, before the course was extended, with additional flips, for the adults.
