A BBC comedy show star has been named the ambassador of a children’s hospice that looks after children from Potters Bar.
Outnumbered actor Daniel Roche, pictured below, has been named as celebrity ambassador for nearby Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.
The Barnet-born youngster, who joins Shane Richie, Barney Harwood, Elaine Paige and Andy Day as ambassadors of the charity, said: “I’m so pleased to become an ambassador for Noah’s Ark, especially as the charity is local to me.
“I can’t wait to meet all the families they support and help the charity with all the events and campaigns they’ve got planned; it’s going to be an exciting year!”
Gill Dodge, chief executive of the charity, which provides support for children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and their families, said: “Daniel was a big hit with everyone when he opened our shop in Barnet last year and I’m sure the children and families we support will be equally keen to meet him at events this year.
“I am delighted to welcome him as an ambassador and we are already exploring some exciting new projects together.”
