TWO new businesses have been added to Hatfield Market.
Visitors to Hatfield Market Place on Wednesdays can now get fresh meat from Billy’s Meats.
Butcher Bill Jones has decided to join the market selling quality beef, pork, chicken and lamb from his van.
The Birmingham-based butcher already travels to Hitchin market, and has now decided to give Hatfield a go while he’s in the area.
Meanwhile, a more familiar face can now also be seen plying his trade in midweek.
Carl Welch, owner of CW Carpets, based behind Simmons the Baker in Town Centre, has decided to try his luck on the stalls, and can be found at The Arcade end of the market.
Market manager Alan Brown said: “We’re doing everything we possibly can to get more traders into the market.
“We’ve sent out flyers and had a small response from that, so all in all, things are looking good.”

Going back more years than I would like to admit, didn't Carl Welch used to DJ on a Thursday night at St Johns? Better known as Sweeney?
