There has been a multi-vehicle crash on the northbound A1(M) between Welwyn and Stevenage this morning – and traffic is stationary as a result.

Police were called at 7.24am to reports of a collision involving seven vehicles between junctions 6 and 7.

A force spokeswoman told the Comet that, fortunately, no-one has been injured.

The incident is currently being cleared.
