Body found on beach confirmed as missing man Richard Leo from Essendon

Police have confirmed that a body recovered on a beach in Sussex has been identified as Richard Leo from Essendon.

The 40-year-old had been reported missing on Saturday, December 16, but a body recovered in Seaford on January 3 was yesterday (Tuesday, January 30) identified as Richard.

A police spokeswoman said: “His family have been informed and they wish to extend their thanks to everyone that searched for Richard and shared missing posts on social media.

“The family now ask that they have the privacy to mourn their loss.”
